PGI to Launch New Platinum Alloy at Las Vegas JCK Show

New York— Platinum Guild International USA (PGI USA) is set to introduce a groundbreaking platinum alloy, “Inoveo Platinum,” at the JCK Las Vegas show later this month.

Developed in collaboration with platinum miner Anglo American and materials designer Alloyed, Inoveo Platinum aims to combine the exceptional properties of platinum with the ease of use traditionally associated with white gold.

PGI USA President Jenny Luker highlighted that Inoveo Platinum maintains platinum’s natural white color, durability, and wear resistance while offering improved workability. “The launch of Inoveo Platinum provides the jewelry industry with the best of what platinum offers as the world’s most precious metal, while also providing the ease of workability that manufacturers and designers have come to expect in production,” Luker said. She anticipates that this development will significantly boost the use of platinum in jewelry manufacturing.

Inoveo Platinum boasts up to four times less porosity and four times higher production yield compared to standard platinum alloys. It is also 40 percent harder, enhancing its durability. The alloy’s lower melting temperature and high fluidity facilitate a smoother, more consistent fill for casters, leading to faster polishing and setting processes and a lower rejection rate.

Benny Oeyen, Executive Head of Market Development at Anglo American, expressed pride in the collaboration, stating, “This formulation was developed with the goal of elevating the manufacturing experience for platinum jewelry makers, and we are excited to witness the debut of this alloy to the jewelry industry at JCK Las Vegas.”

Starting this summer, Inoveo Platinum will be available exclusively through Stuller in the U.S. for manufacturers, designers, and jewelers. Stuller COO Belit Myers commented, “Inoveo Platinum will transform platinum jewelry manufacturing, and we are proud to be on the forefront of this innovation in the industry.”

Technical experts will be present at Stuller’s JCK booth (#13089) to provide more information and answer any questions about the new alloy.
