In an elegant tribute to Gabrielle Chanel’s legacy, Chanel unveiled its new high jewelry collection, Reach for the Stars, in Kyoto, blending bold American-inspired glamour with Parisian refinement.
This 109-piece collection, presented at the Kyoto National Museum and celebrated at the Shogunzuka Seiryuden temple, reimagines symbols close to Chanel’s heart—stars, wings, and lions—through exquisite craftsmanship and rare materials.
True to Mademoiselle Chanel’s belief that jewelry should empower rather than weigh down, the collection is rich with transformable designs. The Twin Stars necklace, strung with diamonds and tanzanite, transforms into bracelets or shorter necklaces.
The Wings of Chanel necklace, crowned by a 19.55-carat padparadscha sapphire, and its matching ring, show Chanel’s debut use of articulated diamond wings—sculptural yet airy.
Chanel’s signature symbolism meets spectacular materials—multi-carat diamonds, rare sapphires, and custom-cut gemstones. The lion motif appears in powerful cocktail rings and the striking Embrace Your Destiny necklace, where twin lion profiles cradle pear-shaped diamonds, balancing strength with grace.
The final piece, the Silhouette Clock, captures Chanel herself in black jade, gazing skyward beneath an octagonal dial—a poetic reminder that true luxury is aspiration made tangible.
With Reach for the Stars, Chanel once again proves that high jewelry is not just about adornment, but attitude.
